How we write
We check facts against primary sources where they exist, such as the Bulgarian Transliteration Act, the Institute for Bulgarian Language, the Unicode Consortium and published scholarship, and we link to them on each page. Pronunciation is given in IPA with a plain-English approximation. When sources disagree, we say so.
The audio on this site uses your browser’s built-in Bulgarian voice (if your device has one). Voices differ between devices, so treat them as a guide and compare with native speakers when you can.
